What it is
Lingo Bingo is a whole-class ELT pronunciation game built around a shared bingo grid. Teams take turns claiming tiles by pronouncing the word each one holds, and the first team to get three tiles in a row (horizontally, vertically, or diagonally) wins.
Words are organised by CEFR level, so the vocabulary difficulty matches the class. Each word has both US and UK audio, which helps teachers who might be unsure of a word's pronunciation.
Choose two to eight teams, vocabulary level A1 to C1, and whether US or UK audio plays first. The active team chooses a tile and pronounces its word. Click the word or audio button to hear the model pronunciation, switching between US and UK English. Mark the answer correct or wrong. Correct answers claim the tile; incorrect tiles freeze for four turns before reopening.

Who it suits
Lingo Bingo works for all ages and covers the full CEFR range from A1 to C1. It works well as a warm-up, a revision activity, or a filler when a short focused activity is needed.
How classroom play works
The teacher opens Lingo Bingo on a shared classroom screen (a projector, interactive whiteboard or classroom display) and selects a CEFR level. The bingo grid is displayed and play begins. No student devices are needed as the game runs from a single teacher screen projected onto the classroom board.
Skill focus
Lingo Bingo focuses specifically on pronunciation. The teacher-judged format means strictness is at the teacher's discretion, but the fun comes from the teacher insisting on perfection to win a square. Word lists are organised by CEFR level. See the CEFR guide for how levels are applied across Lingadoo games.
