About Flippity
Flippity works differently from most tools: you enter content into a Google Sheets template, then Flippity converts it into an interactive activity. Templates exist for flashcards, quiz shows, random name pickers, spelling bees, bingo, and several other formats. Because it uses Google Sheets as the data source, teachers who already manage vocabulary or content in spreadsheets find the workflow natural. The tool is free and generates shareable links. It is more flexible than it looks, though the setup requires a few extra steps compared to purpose-built platforms.
Who is it for?
Teachers who already manage vocabulary or class content in Google Sheets and want to turn it into interactive activities without re-entering the data elsewhere.
Teachers who prefer simple, self-contained tools without spreadsheet workflows.
Editorial assessment
Google Sheets integration is genuinely useful if you already store vocabulary or class content there. Completely free.
The spreadsheet-based workflow adds friction compared to tools with built-in editors.
Underrated tool for teachers already working in Google Workspace. The name picker and quiz show templates work particularly well for shared-screen classroom use.
