About Classroomscreen

Classroomscreen is less a game platform and more a classroom management display. It provides a customisable shared-screen dashboard with widgets: countdown timers, noise level indicators, random student selectors, text display, polls, QR codes, a drawing canvas, and more. ELT teachers use it to display speaking prompts, timer for timed tasks, randomly pick students to answer, and manage pair work. It is not a game tool in the traditional sense, but it occupies a meaningful role in shared-screen classroom workflows. The core is free; advanced widgets require a subscription.

Who is it for?

Good fit for

Speaking activities that need structure: a visible countdown, a way to randomly select who answers next, and a prompt displayed on screen, all without switching between tools.

Less suitable for

Game-based review, student-paced practice, or anything requiring student devices.

Editorial assessment

Biggest strength

The random student picker and countdown timer are genuinely useful for speaking activities. No student devices needed.

Biggest weakness

Not a game platform. Does not provide content. You supply all prompts and materials.

Editorial note

A different kind of tool from the others here. It supports the classroom environment rather than delivering content. Particularly useful for structuring speaking activities with a shared screen.
